With the busiest shopping season coming up, I would like to share a bit of information that I found.  While the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act guarantees the right to reservists who have been deployed that their jobs will be there for them when they get back, it doesn’t guarantee continued benefits or help them deal with difficulties associated with the differences in pay.  But there are many companies that do, however, go above and beyond the requirements of the USERRA.  Members of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) continue to provide various benefits and pays to their employees who have been deployed.  The ESGR site has a map that you can click on your state and see which companies support our troops above and beyond.  So during this time when we tend to spend a little bit more, why not make purchases from companies that give a little more.
