I love this picture of my daughter when she was 2 years old. She is the picture of a leisurely Southern Lady. If you look closely you will notice not only is she on a float with a swim ring around her belly, but she also has a life vest on. We didn’t take any chances.

Our oldest would dress that way for the pool, even after he could swim. Life vest, ring (or 2) and ride on a float. Great picture!
My lemon cucumber plants are looking wonderful, but the others are struggling…bad placement, I think. The critters are tunneling under, and that area hasn't done well. I'll be lucky to have anything out of them.
I found a nice pickle mix at Walmart a couple of summers ago, I think it is a Kerr product. Both sweet and dill available, and maybe bread and butter. I don't like sweet pickles much, but the family does. I did like the dill pickle mix. The only trouble I had was that I canned my lemon cucumbers with it and they went mushy. Not really a good pickling cucumber. But the process is simple if you're doing a vinegar mix. The vinegar has the acidity you need, so it's just a boiling water bath.
We're just getting to the point of our first tomato ripening, and a few squash forming…we're about 3 weeks later than usual on that stuff. The cooler weather this week has really been good.
That picture is calendar worthy! So cute!
That is an adorable photo. She looks very content.
