MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
11th Annual Great Backyard Bird Count
February 15 – 18, 2008
Count for Fun, Count for the Future!
If you enjoy watching the birds in your yard or are doing a bird study, this is fun activity for everyone. It is simple and free and you could even win some great bird related prizes. This will be the third year that we have participated in the bird count. Basically all you have to do is select an area to watch, count the birds that come to that area in a 15 minute timeframe, separate the count by bird type, and then report your results.
Swing by the Great Backyard Bird Count website for all the details. There are lists of birds from your area to print out to help with your count reporting, a ‘Learn about Birds’ section with a ton of helpful links for identification and bird watching tips. There is even a great page especially for kids. By participating in the count you are a valuable resource to scientists in their study of birds. We just do it because it’s fun and we enjoy God’s creation.
That looks like alot of fun. I have heard of it before but we have never done it.

I wrote the dates on my calendar.
Oh, her lapbook….
just go to Google, click on images, and type in "Kirsten American Girl" or something like that. You'll get all kinds of pictures. When I found one I liked, I saved it and printed it out on a full-page size. Hope that helps.
