Our Classroom

Here are a few pictures of our classroom and the kids diligently working.  I have put our black board on the back of the door and that is what they are looking at.  They are back to back to each other. Both are set up similarly.  These are inexpensive computer desks with out the keyboard shelves attached.  They each have a file cabinet beside the desk that stores their notebooks and books.  They also have one of those plastic three drawer containers on one of the shelves to store supplies. Both kids have their own homemade bulletin boards to post whatever.  My desk is smaller, but I have everything around me within reach.  I have my own file cabinet with stacking files on top for completed work.  That green thing on the floor I got at a tag sale.  It’s one of those teacher’s crates with a handle and on wheels. There are pockets all around where I store the 3-hole punch, stapler, and other tools.  I keep my teacher’s books there for easy access and if I want to do any work in a room other than the classroom I can easily haul the crate around. On the other side of Proverbs Daughter’s workstation are a bookcase and a tall metal storage cabinet.  The room may appear a bit crowded but it works quite efficiently.

Proverbsgirl Desk

Proverbs Daughter- She likes to have the big write-on-wipe-off calendar in front of her.  She is a very time orientated person.

Proverbs Son- He prefers to have things on his desk and within easy reach. My desk

I like everything to be out in the open and easy to get to without having to search.

I wonder if there is a classroom that is not crowded of very useful things. It's been so busy here with my ds coughing yet our attempts to start school and my dh trying to get the router fixed. My desk was so clean the night before school.

    Sigh…lol

When my desk looks that good, I'm going to eat a half gallon of ice cream in one sitting!
