Mother

What is a mother?
Can words describe?
All that she is
From the inside

She is strength and hope
With eyes that see
Everything good
Inside of me

She is warmth and grace,
With arms that hold
All through the night
When life gets cold.

She is wisdom and care
In all she taught
What I shouldn’t
What I ought.

She is laughter and joy
With words she speaks
She lifts me up
When I am weak.

She is hours of prayer
With tender heart
Wanting the best
From the start.

She is all the things
I want to be
A mother is love
Eternally.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!
