A Beginner’s Copybook: The Days of the Months

Were you taught this nursery rhyme poem when you were in school?

Thirty days hath September,
April, June, and November;
February has twenty-eight alone.
All the rest have thirty-one,
Excepting leap-year—that’s the time
When February’s days are twenty-nine.

I actually never learned this until I was teaching my children.  Not sure why not, but it just wasn’t in my childhood repertoire.  I create this free copybook for you to share with your children.  This book contains three sections: manuscript, transitional manuscript, and cursive copywork pages specifically sized for students still mastering writing skills.  The pages are in the horizontal format.

Each page has a line of the poem along with an illustration box to allow your student to artistically illustrate the selection.

You may download the copybook by clicking on the title or the cover image.
