I had to make a work-in appointment with the dentist today. From my description of the pain they sent me straight to the endodontic dentist. I have been in pain for a few days and really did not want to suffer over the weekend. Turns out there is an abscess under my crown and quite probably another in the tooth beside it. It goes without saying, I’m a hurting unit. But he gave me a pain medication and antibotics and will be doing surgery next week, so I should be good as new in no time. I get so frustrated because for some reason, even though I do exactly what the dentist tells me when it comes to dental care, I still have a lot of teeth issues. I have become a regular visitor at my dentist. I lecture my kids about their dental habits because I don’t want them to go through anything like I have been through. Sad part is, a lot of dental issues are just our genetic make-up and can’t really be helped.
My daughter has been babying me all day and I presume she will continue her mother hen role until I’m better. It really is nice when the kids are old enough to help when you are under the weather.
Hey girl!
My daughter is almost 11 and she cracks me up how "motherly" she gets when I am tired, sick or worn out. It just goes to show that we are training them right!
Hope you get to feeling better.
Sorry to hear that you are in pain. I think that the only profession that gets paid to inflict pain is a dentist. You might think that, after all these years,
they would find a painless way to work on teeth.
I suppose your problem must be the result of eating too many red MM's.
Good luck and let your daughter baby you….you deserve it.
My hubby has had so much trouble with dental stuff…total sympathy, here! Praying the pain is eased for the moment, and resolved quickly!
