While taking a few minutes the other day I stumbled across a must read post on Gina’s blog at Learning Legacy that described symptoms I have been having for a few years now. I was beginning to worry and seriously thought about seeking medical attention. Memory loss seemed to be prevalent. So often I go to do one thing only to forget what it was that I was going to do. Rarely will you find me without a book or notebook in my hand, and to just sit and do nothing is unheard of. Imagine my relief when I found Gina’s blog and recognized my life in her post. I am so relieved that there is a name for it. It’s called Homeschool Induced Attention Deficit Disorder or HIADD for short. I just thought I was getting old. Now that I have diagnosed myself, I feel so much better and a whole lot less like I’m losing my mind. What a comfort it is to know that I am not alone.

Hmmm….I was going to say it sounds like pregnancy…or maybe just motherhood. That's what I have!
I definitely think I have it too! When we went to the homeschool convention, it was all I could do to actually sit still for a 45 minute workshop without multitasking!
