I saw this at By God’s Grace blog and wanted to participate. I had wanted to do something for Christmas for my readers, but was afraid it would be an overwhelming project.
Here are the details:
"Come join in the fun and make the
world a happier place. So this is how it goes…
It’s the Pay It Forward Exchange. It’s based
of the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward”
where acts or deeds of kindness are done
without expecting something in return,
just passing it on, with hope that the recipients
of the acts of kindness are passed on. So here’s
how it works: I will make and send a handmade
gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment
to this post on my blog The gift will be sent
out in January after the New Year. What YOU
have to do in return, then, is pay it forward
by making the same promise on your blog.
Unfortunately this is only possible for
those who have a blog."
Okay so who’s going to be the first three to leave a comment? I have a few ideas about what to make but would like to give you a choice. I will get in touch with you after Christmas about your choices and hopefully have the projects done by the end of January, the beginning of February. Any takers?
I think this is wonderful, but don't count me as number 1. =) I just needed the thrill of being first to comment! LOL Normally I would participate. But I've been sewing, and working working working! I haven't posted what I made my SS because she didn't have her gift open in time for me to put on Sew Crafty…then I had deadlines for getting packages out to my in laws. I had to give up sewing for them! sniff. Then I had my only nephew's quilt to finish..done as of Sat! Then I've had a cold, pretty much in control with zicam. But I get waves of fatigue and yuckiness and have been crashing as the sun goes down. My son got sick Sat. My husband got an intestinal problem yesterday so we have a special Happy Birthday to Jesus Party tonight…poor guy…may be stuck on a BRAT diet. I'm in a bit of dilemma how to handle this. I had brain storms of sewing new projects for my dc…I will put the minkee in their stockings and tell them I will sew pillows for them from the remnants from my nephew's quilt this week. Then we will just enjoy being together…hopefully not sharing germs! lol Then we have Elizabethan costumes to prepare…buy the fabric and start sewing. I already promised the kids for their next unit celebration. Then I am in the middle of a very, very, very special project that I have to keep secret, a quilt…but I can't talk in public about it until Feb. Then I have to keep up with my dc lessons. These are the only reasons I can't pay it forward…until March…but then that's dd's birthday and I was thinking of sewing fabrics for her room! =) But I love this idea! Have fun! =) You'll have to post what you actually do. I'll be watching!
Blessings,
Laurie
