I have always loved the Christmas season with all the beautiful decorations and preparations to celebrate the most important day in history. It’s the ultimate birthday party. As a young girl I would listen to Christmas music year round just for the sheer joy that it created in my heart. My daughter seems to be following in my footsteps, because I have caught her singing carols in the middle of summer. This weekend I worked on dressing up my blog. If you look at my side bar you will find wonderful Christmas Scriptures, stories and websites to inspire you. I spent a lot of time trying to work out the bugs in my coding. My family was so supportive of me, knowing that I really wanted to do this. I wanted to share with my readers something new for every day in December that would inspire creativity and fun, but I knew that I wouldn’t have the time each day to change things. So, I hunted down a code that would change the content daily and that I would be free to put what I wanted into it. Then I went to work. I also found the code for one of those scrolling boxes for the long Scriptures and stories and finally figured out how to get it to work in the other code. I have to admit that I had a hard time and got quite frustrated, but persistence paid off. When I finally got everything to work, I was so excited I literally did the happy dance. So I hope that you will find something useful in the links and that you will enjoy the stories. I also made my own Christmas coloring through the alphabet pages. Each day a new letter is added, all the way to Christmas Day. I had great fun making these and hope your kids will enjoy them.
Yesterday the kids and I set up the outdoor Christmas lights. It rained last night so I wasn’t able to get any pictures, but as soon as I do I will post them. The displays came out so nice. My kids were a great help. Today we work on the inside. My husband has a large collection of Christmas animates so it takes a while to set everything up. We don’t usually put up our tree until about a week or so before Christmas, but we may put it up early this year without decorations to see how our new kitty will be with it. She ‘helped’ us with the light outside, so inside should be interesting. We’ll also be working on our Christmas gifts this week. I’m embarrassed to say, but we haven’t even started. No excuse, just haven’t made the time. So, off to work we go.
I'm really proud of you. HTML coding can be very tricky and get very frustrating sometimes. You did a great job.

Everything looks great! I wish I had your mad html skills! I'm looking forward to a chance to browse your links.
Good work! That is very time consuimg to learn all those codes…something I have little of. =) I was elated I could use a few of your tips to type in books, etc in my right column!
Blessings,
Laurie
