What a wonderful holiday we are having. As he has done in the past, my husband has taken his vacation this whole week and we have been enjoying him being home. Christmas was a day filled with joy. The kids loved all their gifts and are still making a fuss over the pajamas I made for them. (Saving the pics for next Friday’s Sew Crafty post) My mom made me an extra special surprise and brought tears to my eyes. She had read somewhere in my blog about how much I loved divinity fudge and she thoughtfully and lovingly made a batch just for me. Yummy! My oldest son gave me Dreamweaver and Photoshop because he knows how much I enjoy blogging and working on the computer. My middle son choose an MP3 player as a prize from his Boy Scout popcorn sales and gave that to me because he knew that I had wanted one to listen to books on. My darling daughter bought me an electric can opener because I have been having trouble with my hands using the manual one. My sweet husband gave me one of those zip-up containers with a reel in it to put Christmas lights on because he knew how frustrated I get every year trying to untangle them. I am overflowing with pride and gratefulness at how much thought my family put into their gifts this year. I’m not saying that they haven’t been thoughtful in the past, but this year I had no real ‘wish list’ so they were on their own and did a wonderful job. I am so very blessed to have such an awesome family. And to top things off, we won Reviews by Heidi’s 12 Blogs of Christmas contest for decorating our classroom. I am so thrilled and excited. I have made a wish list for the Homeschool E-Store and looking forward to getting some awesome products.
God is so good all the time.
So glad you had such a wonderful Christmas. We had the best in a long while as well.
