Historical Tag

This was an interesting ‘tag’.  I wouldn’t consider this so much as a tag but as a neat research assignment that is right up my alley.

The rules of the tag are to go to Wikipedia and type in the day and month of your birth, excluding the year, and hit search. Then you are to list three events, two births, and one holiday that occurred on your birthday.

Events:

1795 – The 11th Amendment to the United States Constitution is passed.

1914Charlie Chaplin first appears as "The Tramp", as his first film Kid Auto Races at Venice is released at Keystone Studios.

1964The Beatles arrive on their first visit to the United States.

Births:

As I perused the list of births, I was struck by the number of actor/actresses, musicians and writers born on this date.  I choose two of my favorite authors.

1812Charles Dickens, English novelist (d. 1870)

1867Laura Ingalls Wilder, American author (d. 1957)

Holiday:

Independence Day in Grenada (1974).

It will be interesting to see what happened on your day in history.
