Mom Celebration

Cooking, cleaning, washing the floor,
Chores to do and so much more.
Ballgames, lessons, mail to read,
A quiet vacation is what I need.

Bills to pay, errands to run.
Making time for just plain fun.
Places to go, appointments to keep,
Boy, I could use a little sleep.

Nights too short, days too long,
Give me strength to be strong.
For everything I have to do,
Someday soon I will be through.

The kids will grow and move away,
And then I’ll dream of yesterday.
So vacation and sleep they can wait.
Because today as ‘Mom’ I celebrate.

Ours are 3 and 1, and I still think sometimes, "Our oldest is already 1/6th through his time with us" It helps me to enjoy the little moments.

I'm afraid I forget to celebrate being a Mother way too often 🙁 Great Poem.
