One of Those Weeks

It has been extremely chaotic here and my good intentions of keeping a meaningful and productive blog have fallen to the wayside.  My beloved husband’s company is going under major transitions with a buy out and the paperwork is very trying.  The kids seem to have arrived at the misunderstanding that if I’m busy trying to straighten things out that they are free to wander away from their school goals and disappear, therefore sending me on a wild goose chase to gather them back, sit on them and redirect their focus.  Of course having to do this multiple times during the day does nothing for my patience and reeks havoc on getting anything else done.  If we eat one more casserole I think my husband will use the dishes for target practice. And the icing on the cake is that a furry member of our family for 16 years is not well and we can’t afford another trip to the vet. Midnite, my oldest son’s cat, cannot walk and we are caring for him the best we can with spoon feeding and letting him drink from a glass. He doesn’t seem to be in any pain and he purrs when we pet him, but he sleeps all the time and can’t do much of anything for himself.  We know he is not long for this world but can only do what we can to make his last days more comfortable.  We lost our dog, Oreo, of 15 years back in January and ever since Midnite hasn’t been the same. They were buddies. It was very hard losing Oreo(he really was a great dog) and I know it will be hard losing Midnite. They’re family! So this has been one of those weeks.  Seems like every week is one of those weeks in one way or another. I thank my Heavenly Father that He is in control, because without Him, it would be a whole lot worse.
