In my life this week…
It was a quiet week, which really is a good thing. Not a whole lot going on. I did empty my work in-box this week and that was something I don’t think I have done since I started working for TOS over 3 years ago.
In our homeschool this week…
It was a quiet week here as well. We are half way through the Grammar of Poetry and I am really enjoying the poems the kids are coming up with. They are so clever.
Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
Wednesday was a busy day for my daughter. After getting up early to do her school assignments and her piano lesson at 10:00, she spent the remainder of the day with her Girl Scout silver award mentor working on her project. Her mentor then took her out to a special lunch and then shopping. They had a wonderful time together. That night she and I went to her basketball awards banquet and enjoyed a nice spaghetti dinner. She also was invited by another friend to spend the weekend in Myrtle Beach, so that was awesome for her.
My favorite thing this week was…
Our dryer died a few months ago and we had been going to the laundry mat to dry our clothes all winter. A dear friend just purchased a new washer and dryer and blessed us by giving us their old dryer. So no more trips to the laundry mat. Yay!
What’s working/not working for us…
No revelations in this department this week.
Homeschool questions/thoughts I have…
I would really like to get back to doing our nature studies. I think I will try to get back into it next week with the kids. We always had so much fun doing it and I miss it.
A photo, video, link, or quote to share…
“We are all meant to be naturalists, each in his own degree, and it is inexcusable to live in a world so full of the marvels of plant and animal life and to care for none of these things.” ~Charlotte Mason
Grammar of Poetry sounds interesting. I’m off to check it out. I’ve been looking for a poetry study for me son. And kudos on getting to the bottom of the work book!
It sounds like you all had a nice and productive week. I want to get back to nature study too. We are so looking forward to Spring.
Blessings,
Dawn
Yay for a dryer – that is a definite blessing. Love the Charlotte Mason quote. Stopping by from the Homeschool Mother’s Journal link-up. Your copybooks look very neat!
