I had a great trip to Tennessee. The four hour drive by myself was filled with beautiful scenery and humbling views. As I drove listening to my favorite music (singing along, of course) I couldn’t resist snapping pictures through the windshield.
Meeting all the wonderful people that I am working with was such a blessing. We had such a time fellow-shipping and learning more about each other. A lot was accomplished.
The hospitality of our host and hostess was overwhelming and their children were amazing. I was so excited to meet my blogging buddy Heidi. She is all I thought she was and so much more.
It is hard to put into words what a fabulous and gifted group of people I am working with. It amazes me how God places people into our lives the way that He does and all the twists and turns He puts in our paths. I work directly under an awesome lady who has such a heart for our Father it inspires me.
The other ladies I met are all so terrific, kind and so down to earth. I could go on and on, singing of each of their virtues.
When I arrived home on Saturday I was greeted with the most wonderful surprise. Today is our 24th anniversary and my husband wanted me to have something special. While I was gone, he and my dad put in a new kitchen floor. Wahoo! Happy Dance all over the place. If you read my blog regularly you may remember me mentioning my desire for a new floor a few times. I have wanted one for quite a few years as the old one was in such a pathetic state. It went from this:
and this:
and this:
to this:
and this:
and this:
And they even did the bathroom:
These guys are the greatest!
Thank you, Daddy for all your help. You rock!
And, honey, I love you more each and every day we share together. Happy Anniversary!
This has been the most exciting, outstanding week I can hardly contain myself. I think I’ll go do my happy dance again.
I finally get to "see" some of the meetings. You get the prize for being the first to blog photos! Now who is that sitting next to Angela on the couch? I see Dena on one side, is it Michelle? And is that Heidi sitting next to Eleanor on the couch. Man, I wish I could have been there!
Congratulations on your great new floor though. Wow! What a wonderful surprise. I am so happy for you. Enjoy your anniversary with your sweetie. :O)
I am glad you had fun. What a wonderful gift from your dh and dad. I love the new floor. IT is soooo pretty.
Blessings,
Dawn
It was wonderful to meet you. I'm going to be posting my pictures on my blog too- think I'll do them one at a time or something – blog fodder, you know?
You got some excellent shots from inside your car – that is amazing!
I love your new floor. What a wonderful surprise. It's funny that you thought "maybe" then ruled it out and went home to a big surprise! You'll have to check out my blog and see what I went home to – Ian's quilt!
Hugs,
Heidi
The floor looks great! I'm glad you had a good trip. 🙂
Oh, you're new floor is FABULOUS!! I couldn't believe it when I read about it, cuz you had mentioned while in TN. I would have loved to have seen your face when you walked in a saw it. You are blessed with a dear, sweet hubby and family!
May your new floor be blessed with cute little dust bunnies for many years!
I'm glad you got to meet your new friends and get a new floor!
Blessings,
Laurie
