With the holidays winding down, it’s time for us to get back into the swing of school. I always have a fresh drive after taking a break and this week is no exception. We will be starting off slow this week, working on finishing our Explorer’s study and some other small projects that got put on the back burner. Then next week we will be working more diligently on subjects that have been left at the wayside. Being blessed by winning Reviews By Heidi’s contest at the Homeschool E-store, I was able to get some books that I have had my eye on. We have been using the Trail Guide to World Geography for a while now, but when I saw that they had a student notebook, I was excited. This book will save me a lot of prep work and that’s always great. I love this program and so do the kids, so I also got the Trail Guide to U.S. Geography and will get the student notebook at another time. I also chose the American Girl-Kirsten lapbook from Knowledge Box Central for my daughter to do and Study Starters by Sheri Chekal. In addition to the school books I chose a few things just for me; Bahama Blessings’ Basic Fabulous Household Forms, Mom’s Chore Organizer, and Kids Chore Organizer by Homeschooling with Index cards. I’m not sure how much I will be using these last products, but I was intrigued by them and thought I may find a use for them. I am so grateful to be able to get these things free of cost. Thanks Heidi for choosing our entry. We had fun doing it. You have made school a bit easier.

Thank you for your kind comment on my blog!
THANK YOU so much for sharing what you picked! I was wondering if you had used your g.c. yet. It sounds like you were able to get quite a bit~ and what a fun variety of stuff!
I recently got the Kirsten lapbook kit also~ thanks for the reminder~ I need to dig that out and start working on it with Gracie. She didn't start back to school yet today, since she's recovering from a nasty bout with the flu~ maybe tomorrow.
Again, I'll say that your entry deserved to win! So glad to hear you are enjoying your prize!
