Big news! Friday evening my husband and son went out and bought an engagement ring. That evening my son proposed to his girlfriend of over a year. I am so happy for them. They have not yet set a date and tell us it will be a while because of the finacial situation, but I am excited just the same. They are good for each other and I know that they will have a wonderful life together. We took them out last night to celebrate. Although he has been out of the house and on his own for almost 5 years now, this event is bittersweet for me as his mom. I know he will always be my baby, but once he gets married it seems so final that he really is grown and my job as mom is really done. Silly thinking I know. But I am happy that he has someone who will love him completely and will take care of my precious first born.
