2012 Gratitude Challenge-Day 8
Pets add so much to our lives. In our house we have had a menagerie of small animals live with us including dogs, cats, birds, fish, hamsters, mice, lizards, frogs, turtles, hermit crabs, and a variety of bugs. (Yes, bugs. My middle son has kept crickets and lightening bugs for pets.) We have even tried our hand at a worm farm at one time. Though there are times that they drive us nuts with some … Continue reading
2012 Gratitude Challenge-Day 7
There is no place like home and we have been very blessed to have lived in our home for 20 plus years. It is always a welcome sight after being away for any length of time and stored within its walls are memories of laughter, tears, and time past. I am thankful to those who fought to give me that privilege and I do not take it lightly so that their work would not be found to be in vain. It is so nice to come home from running around and having supper waiting just to be eaten. I even keep one of my slow cookers in our camper to use while we are on trips. My younger son gave me a triple … Continue reading
Ginny’s Crockpot Pumpkin Pudding
This pudding is one of our favorites. It is like eating pumpkin pie without the crust. You can serve it warm or cold, with or without ice cream or whipped topping. I especially enjoy it warm with a couple of scoops of butter almond or maple walnut flavored ice cream. This recipe is super easy and totally yummy anyway you eat it. Ginny’s Crockpot Pumpkin Pudding 1 can (15 oz) pumpkin 1 cup heavy (whipping) cream*** … Continue reading
2012 Gratitude Challenge-Day 4
While I enjoy working for the most part, I so appreciate days of rest. Most Sundays in our household are days that we really take it easy, attending church services in the morning then relaxing and chilling out the rest of the day watching movies, going for walks, and just enjoying the company of family and friends. And because this Sunday we turned our clocks back for daylight savings, I really appreciate that ‘extra’ hour, … Continue reading
