I just learned yesterday that my childhood best friend’s daughter died March 5th. She suffered from a rare neurological disease – Ataxia Telangiectasia (AT)- that attacks the part of the brain that controls motor movements and speech. There is no cure and one can only treat the symptoms. Most children with AT die in their teens. She was 21 and loved working at the local animal shelter. Happy St. Patrick’s Day all.  We had family over Sunday to share our traditional St. Patrick’s Day meal, corned beef cabbage, carrots and potatoes. I so love my stove..
