Our Son’s Homeschool Graduation 2012
On April 29, 2012, our middle son graduated homeschool style. My children are not into formal ceremonies at all so we let them determine what they wanted for their graduations. For my oldest son the family gathered at a local restaurant and we just simply presented him with his diploma. That was in 2004. We spoke with our middle son about what he wanted and came up with a plan that fit his personality to … Continue reading
Our High School Botany Lesson Plan
We have had great fun with our high school botany studies this year. While I was not able to find a suitable prepared homeschool high school botany curriculum, I was able to put together a course using various resources, some free and some fairly inexpensive that I feel thoroughly covered the science. Lewis, Mark Twain, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Ann Sewell, Roald Dahl, Louisa May Alcott, and several others, enjoying many of the titles … Continue reading
2011-2012 Schedule
It has been a challenge these past few weeks working out a good schedule to balance our time. We have so many things outside of school that we all do. My son works 2 part time jobs with unpredictable schedules. He is a bagger at the local grocery and a host at a popular restaurant. His bagger job has fallen to only about one or two times a week, but his job as a host … Continue reading
