I had to make a work-in appointment with the dentist today. From my description of the pain they sent me straight to the endodontic dentist. I have been in pain for a few days and really did not want to suffer over the weekend. Turns out there is an abscess under my crown and quite probably another in the tooth beside it. I just learned yesterday that my childhood best friend’s daughter died March 5th. She suffered from a rare neurological disease – Ataxia Telangiectasia (AT)- that attacks the part of the brain that controls motor movements and speech. There is no cure and one can only treat the symptoms. Most children with AT die in their teens. She was 21 and loved working at the local animal shelter.
